Positive Parenting Program (Triple P)

Triple P is an evidenced-based, multilevel parenting intervention program with the main goal of increasing the knowledge, skills, and confidence of parents, and as a result, reduce the prevalence of mental health, emotional, and behavioral problems in children and adolescents (ages 2 –12).

Triple P is based on five key principles: ensuring a safe, interesting environment where children can explore, experiment and develop their skills; creating a positive learning environment by being available when children need help, care or attention; using assertive discipline by being consistent and acting quickly when children misbehave; having realistic expectations for children and for yourself as a parent; and taking care of yourself as a parent and ensuring personal needs are met.
